Autumn Splendor - Whitetail

Autumn Splendor is a painting depicting a mature whitetail buck in the fall when the sumac bushes are bright red.  It is a tranquil setting as the buck starts his day with no threat of hunters in the refuge.  He appears to not have a care in the world.  Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love to photograph animals and take my kids out with me.  My heart pounds every time I get a chance to see a big buck like this come out of the woods.  It is an awesome experience.
