Family Outing - Grizzlies

The painting entitled “Family Outing – Grizzlies” was inspired by a trip to Alaska where I experienced grizzlies first hand while fishing for salmon.  There was a mama bear and two cubs eating the salmon left along the bank of the Russian River on the Kenai Peninsula.  There are many such streams in Alaska where grizzlies feast on salmon.  The mama bear in this painting is traveling up stream while she keeps a watchful eye on her surroundings to protect her cubs.

This original painting was done in acrylics on canvas.
